Why real estate?  And why now?  

For those of you who are looking at real estate and wondering if now is the time to jump in, we say, "that depends".  

It depends on what you want real estate to do for you. True, more fortunes have been made in real estate than in any other field.  But, if you are thinking real estate is an INVESTMENT, let's just define what an investment is.  An investment is when you write a very large check to someone and they pay you interest or a return on your money. It is passive.

Real estate for most investors is a JOB.  It is hard work, it takes long hours and is definitely not passive.  However, most investors love what they do.  The most successful investors realize early on that real estate is a BUSINESS and it should be run as such.
